Happy New Year guys! Hope it was a good one for you thus far. I know I am super late as we have just started the 2nd month of the year but I had to get myself together. I will be posting more consistently going forward.
On to the subject at hand, there’s just something about white boots that I love so much. They have the ability to make any outfit pop. Also, it can be paired with almost anything. It has really taken off within the past 2-3 years I want to say.
When I first laid eyes on these bad boys I had to have them, but I didn’t want to pay the original price of $495 so I waited a month or 2 before they went on sale. I don’t know about you, but there’s a certain amount that I would spend on certain things. I don’t mind splurging but it has to be on some thing that I will wear frequently. I know I’ll wear these often but ehh not that often lol.
Finally Bloomingdale’s put them on sale for $395 and I knew this is as probably as low as it will go for a boot that’s in season, so I bought them. Good thing because the white ones have been sold out for a while. However, I just found them on Amazon.com, click the link on the picture at the bottom of the page. Don’t dismiss Amazon when it comes to fashion, they carry a variety of items. They are really trying to take overt he world lol The boots are called “Marc Jacobs Ryder Lace Up Boots” for your reference in case you want to do your own search. Let me tell you, I am sooo happy with my purchase, I’m loving them. That’s the feeling you should get when you purchase an item that you want, if not then why get it? 2 things that are important for me when it comes to clothes shopping: I have to be able to wear it different ways (more bang for my buck) and I have to looove it. If you are just buying it because it is on sale (like I used to do) then you’re just wasting your money. Chances are you’ll probably wear it once and never wear it again. If you’re cool with that then more power to you but I’m trying to eliminate the unnecessary; not just in my closet but in all aspects of my life. You’ll think better when you’re not around clutter. Life is too short to be around anything that does not resonate with my soul, down to my socks, you know what I mean? As silly as it may sound, the article of clothing you were should make you feel good so should everything else you allow in your life.
This particular style of boot which is a rider/combat boot can be worn in a variety of ways, I like pairing combat boots with dresses, skirts or jeans. I chose a long maxi mermaid skirt for this look with a graphic tee and Mongolian lamb fur stole for a lil extra umph.
I’ve added some of my favorite white booties below also to show the variations. I hope you enjoyed the looks, and let me know if white boots are your thing.
